Adam Sandler
Adam Richard Sandler is
a comedian actor, producer, and screenwriter
from The United States. He is also called Sandman and The king of comedy. Adam Sandler was
the man behind a genre of comedy blockbusters so closely associated with his formulaic
wackiness that eventually bore his name: "Adam Sandler movies".
The early life of the comedian-actor:
On September 9,
1966, in Brooklyn, New York, Sandler
was born to electrical engineer Stanley Sandler
and a nursery school teacher Judith "Judy". Both sides of his family,
which are Jewish and stemmed from Russian immigrants who were Jews. At the age
of six, Sandler moved to Manchester, New Hemisphere,
where he grew up. His high school was Manchester Central. Teenage Sandler
precipitated in the Jewish youth organization BBYO. In 1988, he received his
degree from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York
University.
Personal
life of Adam Sandler:
Jacqueline
"Jackie" Sandler and Sandler
have been wed since 2003. She became a follower of Sandler's faith, Judaism.
The couple's two children are Sadie (born in May 2006) and Sunny (born in
November 2008). Movies starring Sandler
frequently feature his wife and children. Adam's
nephew, Jared has made appearances in a number of his films, including Pixels
and Home Team. In 2007, Sandler
gave one million dollars to the Manchester, New Hemisphere, Boys and Girls
Clubs of America.
Sandler
has not publicly expressed his opinions on politics. According to the public
record, he was allegedly registered as a Republican voter. He performed at the
2004 Republican National Convention and donated $2,100 to Rudy Giuliani's 2008
presidential campaign. (The current upper limit permitted).
Sandler's
first steps toward acting:
Adam Sandler
had no interest in studying and was frequently punished for his silly behavior
in class. At the prompting of his brother, he made his stand-up comedy debut at
the age of 17 in a Boston club. After finishing high school, Sandler
studied acting at the Tisch School for Arts at New York
University and at the Lee Strasberg Theater & Film institute in New York
City. The American actor
earned his acting bachelor's degree there in 1988.
Sandler's
first appearance on TV was in 1987 on The Cosby Show, when he played a friend
of the Huxtable family. Adam kept on performing stand-up, and during one in Los Angeles, Comedian
Dennis Millar took notice and later gave Lorne Michael, the producer of
Saturday Night Live (SNL), a recommendation. The sketch comedy programmer hired
Sandler as a screenwriter in
1990, and he made sporadic appearances until joining the cast the following
year. Adam Sandler
invited a variety of oddball characters over his five years with SNL, including Opera man, an opera singer who sang satirical songs in a faux basso profundo.
After
that, Sandler started doing comedian roles
but eventually began performing dramatic works at time. Despite having a rather
good track record as a box office draw, Adam has repeatedly received
negative reviews from reviewers and been singled out by the Razzies.
